When I graduated as a doctor, I chose a path that felt more aligned with how I wanted to practise medicine. I began in advanced medical aesthetics, but I never stopped looking beyond the procedure itself. Over time, I became increasingly interested in the biological changes I was seeing in women — changes in skin, bone, facial structure, and wellbeing that often appeared around perimenopause. That curiosity led me into gynaecological endocrinology.

Working in menopause care changed the way I understood women’s health. I saw that many women were reaching this stage carrying problems that had started years earlier, such as endometriosis. Others were beginning to develop bone loss, cardiovascular and metabolic changes. Many were also experiencing fragmented care across different specialties.

That experience eventually took me beyond individual consultations. I wanted to help build better solutions at a larger scale.I brought together a multidisciplinary team and developed MZ Medical into a women’s health advisory, supporting companies and investors

Today, alongside our own innovations, we focus on helping promising ideas become clinically credible, scientifically robust, appropriately regulated and capable of making a meaningful difference in women’s health.
